JBG27's Reviews

The Nike Zoom Speed Trainer is an ultra-lightweight training shoe for the athlete that wants to be quick on his feet. The mesh upper with external welded TPU reinforcements provides breathability and enhanced support. The Zoom Air unit in the heel of the midsole offers a low-profile and responsive protection. This gives you more control through quick directional changes and makes you more explosive coming out of these types of cuts. The all-over, multi-surface traction pattern in the outsole is engineered based on the pressure patterns of the foot, so you have great control where you need it most. Wt. 9.3 oz.

I was really excited for Eastbay to get these shoes in stock. I'd previously seen them on the Nike site and knew they would be great trainers.
First, the positives: lightweight and a great look, not too pricey.
On to the negatives: Toe box was a little wide for me. However, my big complaint: after receiving them and working out in them for about a month, I noticed that the soles already had CONSIDERABLE wear, to the point where the little grippy spikes were almost completely worn down. Most training I do is turf-based and these are turf shoes! No outdoor running or anything. I was very disappointed that the sole would give out so quickly. After just over two months of training 5-6 days per week, these shoes are now virtually gripless. Disappointed that Nike did not incorporate more durable materials/construction.
Pros: lightweight
Cons: runs wide, non-durable
